Christine Parish
a breast cancer survivor is helping others affected by
the disease through her lingerie business Softly Softly.
Following her surgery
Christine realised she
did not own one bra that she could wear.
She longed for soft, pretty wire-free bras
but
could only find lingerie that made
her feel dowdy, unattractive and old, at a time
when she found it difficult enough to hang onto
her
confidence and femininity. Equally
important, Christine wanted an opportunity to
talk through what she needed with a fitter who
understood.
After talking to other women about their experiences
and needs, Christine realised
she was not alone and was moved and
inspired
by the stories she heard, so
she set up softly softly.
Through Softly Softly Christine offers home visits to women in the
Cambridge area
and appointments at
Wallace Cancer Care in Cambridge for women who have had cancer.
