At Sail 4 Cancer they understand this feeling. When you are living with cancer, whether you are a patient or a carer, undergoing treatment or even in remission, everything seems somehow to focus on the illness. Just a day doing something different, being yourself again, feeling “normal”, can leave you refreshed and revitalized. When you have also tried something new and exciting it can be a huge boost to your confidence. It is for these reasons that Sail 4 Cancer take cancer patients, their families, carers and those recently bereaved on respite sailing trips.

They are currently putting together their sailing programme for 2009; rest assured that there will be plenty of opportunities for people living with cancer to get out on the water. Whether you would like to spend time with family or friends relaxing in the fresh air enjoying a new sport, or if you would like to experience the exhilaration of wind and waves, there will be something for almost everyone.
