The food you eat really can help you feel happier - high levels of Serotonin boost mood, curb food cravings and help aid a good night’s sleep.
B-vitamins, Calcium, Folic Acid, Magnesium, and Tryptophan are building blocks for Serotonin. Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids are also necessary for serotonin production.
Foods High in B-vitamins:
Bananas, Brown rice, Chocolate,
Chicken, Corn ,Eggs,
Green Leafy
Vegetables, Meat, Nuts,
Nutritional Yeast, Peas, Sunflower
Seeds. Foods High in Calcium: Almonds, Brewers Yeast, Green Leafy Vegetables, Sesame Seeds.
Foods High in Folic Acid: Avocado, Beans, Beets, Brussels Sprouts, Carrots, Cauliflower, Corn, Green Leafy Vegetables, Nuts & Seeds, Peas & Lentils, Spinach and Squash.
