Founded in 2001, Sail 4 Cancer (part of the 4 Cancer Group) uses water based activities as vehicles for both fund-raising and convalescence. A specialist respite provider, the charity funds day trips, short-breaks and holidays for British families living with cancer / those recently bereaved through cancer. The majority of the charity's respite trips are linked to the water and its therapeutic powers.

From the moment you are diagnosed with cancer your life is taken over by hospital visits, treatments, tests, uncertainty, and often, financial worries. The Odyssey Programme

The Odyssey programme in its present form is five days long and currently runs eight times per year. Every effort has been made to provide the richest and most varied experience possible in that time.

Odyssey programmes happen near to home, not in some remote wilderness; yet they seek out wild and peaceful places, rich in atmosphere.

They aim to astonish even the most imaginative participant and to create such a diverse range of challenges that each person will at some point find themselves in a position of strength and at another time tackling something they find difficult.
