Wellbeing/Pamper Day in Memory of Jade Goody At Maysland Holistic Retreat Great Easton Essex

We had an amazing day at Maysland Holistic Retreat in Great Easton, the day had outgrown Carly's salon, and therefore John & Linda Claydon invited us all down to their beautiful retreat in Essex. John offered the ladiesHypnotherapy, and Linda and her sister Melanie gave Reiki Healing. Carly and Ciara gave various beauty treatments, and everyone was made to feel very special.

these beautiful collectable bottles, available in Selfridges London. The bottles were kindly sent in
to us for our Wellbeing Day in memory of Jade. The
bottles were a real hit, the
ladies all loved them!

A Wellbeing/Pamper Day was held at Destiny Hair & Beauty Harlow
For people affected by cancer. A great day was had by all who attended, and Pink Wishes, would like to thank Danielle, Michelle and their team at Destiny for all their hard work, they were amazing!

MAYSLAND HOLISTIC RETREAT
/ 08Pink Wishes organised a Wellbeing Day for anyone affected by cancer at
Maysland Holistic Retreat, Essex.
The retreat, surrounded by animals and countryside, provided a magnificent
setting for the day. The therapist
's
Linda, Melanie and John were all warm, friendly and extremely welcoming,
instantly putting everyone at ease.
Cancer suffer Janet Lavin, 50, currently undergoing treatment for Breast
Cancer had reflexology, hypnotherapy, back massage and went in the steam
shower. Janet said “Its been lovely, so relaxing, surrounded by animals and
countryside the retreat has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere”. Janet also
said “the reflexology was not only relaxing, it was informative as well, the
therapist told me that my kidneys needed water, which was amazing as I
hadn’t had any to drink that day”. When Janet finishes her treatment in
April, her dream is to meet Donny Osmond!
Pink Wishes asked the Therapists to take a few moments to have a chat
about the Wellbeing Day:
Q. Why did you agree to run a wellbeing day for Pink Wishes?
A.
Linda: Its nice to give back to people who need it and to really feel like
you are helping them. Mel: Its nice to know that you can make someone’s day
brighter and happier, its also nice to be able to give back. John: Its nice
to help people and feel beneficial to the world.
Q.How does it make you feel at the end of the day, knowing how you have
helped people?
Mel: it’s the reason I love my job, being able to give back and Linda: it’s
great, you feel uplifted and its brilliant to be able to help people. John:
It was nice to see the sufferers open up to each other and be able to talk
about their fears and angers etc as its often harder to discuss these things
with family and friends. During the hypnotherapy session I like to give
people something that they can take away with them and do at home.
Q. Linda, how do the treatments you provide help the cancer sufferers?
A.Linda: Chemotherapy and treatment for cancer strips the immune system, the
reflexology helps to balance the body by clearing toxins and strengthening
the immune system, so it helps the toxic residue of the treatment clear
quicker. It also gives a general feeling of wellbeing and a feel good
factor. It usually takes a few reflexology treatments for the body to regain
normality and balance again.
